Quality Controls

Hemo bioscience has formulated various quality controls to be used in blood banks for either manual or automated systems.

MQC-CAT

MQC-CAT is the ONLY READY-TO-USE product currently available that is intended for quality control testing of routine blood bank reagents used in manual column agglutination technology (CAT) blood typing and antibody screening systems. This product has a 63-day expiration.

Hemo-QC

Hemo-QC is a simulated whole blood control intended for the daily quality control of routine blood bank reagents used in manual, semi-automated, and automated blood typing and antibody screening test systems. This product is manufactured every 28 days and has a 49-day expiration.

C3 Control Cells

Hemo bioscience's C3 Control cells are used to confirm the efficacy of Anti-Human Globulin containing anti-complement. This product is manufactured every 28 days and has a 40-day expiration.

IgG Control Cells

Manufactured by the American Red Cross Diagnostic Manufacturing Division (DMD), these cells have been formulated with the ability to detect partial neutralization of the antiglobulin test.

DailyChek QC Kit

The DailyChek QC Kit, manufactured by the American Red Cross DMD, is used for quality control of blood bank reagent red blood cells. It consists of Positive and Negative Controls used to evaluate reactivity with A1, A2, B and O reverse grouping and antibody detection reagent red blood cells.
